Why I Love the Yukon in the Fall: Kluane Lake

I had the chance of a lifetime this summer to work out at Kluane Lake.  The drive from Haines Junction to Kluane Lake has to be one of the most beautiful drives ever, but it really glows in the fall.  Holy Cow.  I took 92 pictures and movies.  This was my drive to work every week.  Today it looked like everything had turned to gold in the Yukon.

The fall is brief here, but it sings.  Go outside and see the music.

I love fall. It’s my favorite season. We don’t have one here though. Highs still in the 100s (F) lows in the eighties. When I’m sweltering outside, tilling my beds in prep for planting, I’ll think of you.

Beautiful pictures! Fall is one of my favorite times of year too, and it’s just beginning to leave a crisp in the air here in Missouri. I have a sudden urge to go apple picking and can a batch of apple butter.

Wow, we were there 3 weeks ago when it was mostly green. Kluane Lake is really beautiful. We even saw 2 bears on the road there.
There’s a link with a picture I made one morning at sunrise. The lake was all violett, red and blue. It’s stange that there is such a big range of colors and the Yukon is not just grey.
Thanks for your comment on my Defifee blog!

I really loved your website, it was very informative. It is not always easy creating a website, I spend many hours on mine at love for a lifetime. Keep up the good work!
