Hey, Jerome!
I read about NaNoWriMo last fall and am intrigued! I wish I lived close enough to take your courses, but I don’t think that will happen (Ter would miss me terribly), I know there are books out there like Writing for Dummies or Idiot’s Guide to Writing, and tons more. But is there a book or two or three you would recommend for someone who has a story inside she wants to get out and onto paper?
I suppose I could also check around for some writing courses around here! LOL!
Hmmm, Linda. Good question. I’m recommending the texts above: Plot and Structure, but there’s some good texts for stories too: Writing Down the Bones is a good one, and of course Janet Burroway’s books are usually a great place to start for many creative writers–and she focuses on short stories. Yes, Ter would miss you terribly if you came up here!! It’s good to hear from you. Sorry I didn’t catch this response until so late…. Hope you are well!
Jerome how much tuition is the class at UD that you will e teaching . I am not doing
I’m not sure how much. I believe students pay UDLLI one payment and can take multiple classes. The link is included in the article above. Hope that helps.
Looks like it is $80. But the best way is to contact University of Dayton Lifelong Learning Institute. They receive all the funds for the class. I’m not exactly sure how much it is. The link above has contact information. Thanks for your interest!
I’ve been digging around the site for writing/novel classes.
Since covid started, I manage to get a book going. Though with very little experience, I was hoping that there would be some writing classes to attend. Though not much luck… If you’re ever planning to have something for adults I’d absolutely sign up in a heart beat.
Just throwing that out there!
Deal. I’ll let you know. I’m thinking about a class in the spring all online.
